Call of duty 2. The first was so good, but the second lacked. The new online maps were terrible and the only good one was burgundy. Other than that they took way to much time redoing the older ones (yet still great). The weapons just don't sound right, listen to the mp44. The singleplayer was still the same call of duty-ish feeling, but it was still lacking somthing that call of duty 1 had. Cod2 is just cod1 except adding more to the graphics and taking less out of the gameplay. I would have rather had another expansion pack like United offensive with the same gameplay/graphics as the first 2 (cod and cod:uo) with added gametypes and maps and i would have been happy. But it simply isn't as good. Then i look at Call of duty 3 being made by Treyarch and can only become sick because i know they're going to trash the Call of duty name even more. I'm moving on to Brothers in arms: hells highway next, or that new Medal of honor. Call of duty had alot going for it, but with cod3 looking bad, and no next PC title in sight... i really wonder where the series will end. A one-hit-wonder? (with the expansion) lets hope not.

What do you mean the game engine better? if you mean better graphics I think not.

Eh, no - he meant the game engine. Capabilities, possibilities, physics, etc. There the best out of any game I've ever played at least. For the graphics, they are still pretty damn good. Likely HL2 has closest to best graphics out there, and it can run REALLY easily on systems that are not all that good.

It's my opinion it is the best engine out there currently, I can't be bothered getting into a big ol' "which game engine is best" discussion, so lets forget it.

I was asking the guy why he felt let down by Source games, anyway.

Just to correct you, if by RO you mean Red Orchestra, then that isn't Source, it's Unreal Engine 2.5 (optimised further still aswell).

So, you're saying you were let down by the Source engine? What features on the engine do you feel wasn't upto expectations? I personally think it's the best game engine currently available.

I agree with HL2: Ep1 though, even though I didn't buy it, I read the reviews and almost everyone, whether they liked the game or not, said it was too short. So I am waiting til Ep2 and will buy both at the same time to get something more out of it.

Yes I agree, Ghost Recon was a big let down, and I wasn't that impressed by AOE3 either.

Everything Source (CS:S, HL2M, DoD:S, RO) besides HL2 which is one of the greatest games I've ever played. HL2 E1 was also a big letdown, and I'm glad I didn't pay for it because everything considered it was just a short money-raking rehash. I'd rather wait another 5 years for a solid product like HL2 than this episode crap.

Star Wars Battlefront 2. I have the original Star Wars Battlefront and love iit. But SWBF2 was just overblown and made way too complicated. too many new features that didn't work out.

Also this one game called Battlefield 2. . . lol.

R6: 'Lockdown'. What a huge disappointment to the R6 series. I was hoping for a better game after playing lots of RavenShield.

C&C Generals (vanilla). I'm a huge C&C fan but Generals was meh. Good thing Zero Hour came out and saved the game. C&C3! :rock:

Star Wars: Empire at War. I expected more from this game (especially coming from the 'Westwood' guys). Small maps, laggy online play (Gamespy FTL as usual), etc. I'll have to wait and see about the expansion pack. Super Star Destroyers.

Half-Life 2: Episode One was a disappointment. It wasn't worth the +$20 CAN for just over 3 hours of gameplay.

Brothers in Arms was a disappointment. The squad thing was cool for the first two hours. Then after the 5th hour, the gameplay was so repeditive...boring.

Breed....nuff said...

I loved it but the multiplayer and the expected deluge of mods has been very disappointing

Ghost Recon AW gets a mention for being average as does Medal of Honor - what was all the fuss about?
