i have seen it a lot and never was able to kill anyone doing it

when i face an enemy he jump on the ground , but not the normal "Z" he roll around himself on the ground while firing on me !!!

maybe cause God didn't create us as smart as u

or maybe cause i didn't find a HowTo for it

or maybe cause it looks very cool that u stop firing and just watch the player rolling till u die

or maybe cause God wants us to know how helpful u r on this forum with only 40posts and still get annoyed from a thread

i wonder how does ur other 39 posts look like

I asked the same question a while ago so will tell you, if you're running forward and you want to roll press the strafe left or right key then prone in quick succession and you will appear to roll. you wont actually roll yourself but you'll notice a bit of movement in the direction you pressed but thats it, but to the enemy you will appear to roll. Hope this helps:)

so it is just animation and nothing special , just a normal prone

And it ends up looking a lot more spectacular from the receiving end, because you see a guy run, dive and roll, his muzzle flashing, and you die. There *is* some finer control involved (if you're not moving to the side, you won't 'roll' you'll just drop), but on the attackers side he's just nailing the 'z' key and opening up.

Also, you'd think that the act of falling/rolling would make it harder to shoot you, but the accuracy bonus (not to mention the lower profile for avoiding return shots) makes it an excellent maneuver 1-on-1. Not as good when there are multiple bad guys approaching, because you're now flat on your stomach, ZERO mobility, and your position is known.

Want to avoid getting pasted over and over by expert divers? Travel with friends! Preferably, one a medic.

Oh, and if you can survive that initial shot, try lobbing a grenade. I know quite a few players (good ones) who run around with grenades primed instead of a gun - when they see the enemy they dodge, weave and throw.

It's just an animation of the game. He doesn't see it as if he is rolling. His view just looks like he just went prone.
