*sigh* I remember back in the days of Goldeneye on the N64, and how awesome that was... four player madness with all of you sharing the same screen...
But aye!! 64 players man!! I like 32 sometimes, but 64!!!!!
That would never be the reason I wouldn't buy any Quake or Doom related game (nor am I interested in playing HL2 or FEAR online). The reason I avoid all these games like the plague is because they don't offer the kind of realistic gunfights that I want. The only three FPS games I enjoyed multiplayer (in order of least to most, and with my judgement of them directly related to the technology of the time) were Counter Strike, Rainbow6 and BF2.
I seriously want to get BF2142. BF2 is a game that (imo) gets nearly EVERYTHING right in terms of gameplay, this is something I've never seen in a scifi based FPS and rarely (three times, as above) in a contemporary based FPS. Finally Sci Fi FPS done right!!! :p
