Basically, when i started my account and made my BF2 name, i was asked a load of questions, perfered name, country etc. I filled them all in and put my nationality down as British. But it must of changed or something as i submitted it and now i have the American Flag by my stats.

Anyone know how to change the flag.

I believe it is based on the amount of play you have in game on any one side, not your home.

yeah i think its because thats the army you play most as in game.

Confirming what they answered. It's how much you play US that is showing.

If you are talking about the flag to what country you are from (like what is displayed in stats and such), that was done when you created the gamespy account. From what I have read with others, no you cannot change it cause it is already stored in your profile on the backend servers and that info is not updated as are scores.

To all the others who answered this wrongly....Then why does some players show canadian or german flags with their stats? Neither have an army in BF2, yet they have those flags.

For some examples:

Volx has the flag of Japan

Snofru78 has the flag of Germany

Aolas has the flag of Hungary

no wonder there are so many US players. i knew there were more elsewhere.....
