    Deluxe Edition "modified content" error

Hi, I got the deluxe edition tonight and I tried to run patch 1.3 before playing, but the patcher scanned my files then stopped at 0% like it had nothing new to add.

I thought to myself "Hey, I guess 1.3 is bundled in the software, cool." So I loaded up the game, tried to connect to several different servers, and got the error message "This server does not allow the use of modified content. Please revert back to an unmodified version of the game."

That's when I noticed some numbers in the bottom left of my screen (that I assume to be the game version I'm runing) and they are 1.1.2878-710.0.

I keep trying to download and install the BF2_FULL_13 patch from different sources, but the installer cuts out at 0% every time.

Also, I'm pretty sure that I should have version 1.3 because in single player mode, I can drop jeeps to the ground with parachutes. That goddamn "modified content" nonsense is driving me crazy.

    Thanks for your help.

The modified content is there because you are running some kind of modified files withtin BF2.
As I suppose you're not hacking, I will suggest you to reinstall. That's probably the only thing you can do.
If you could get the patching to work, that'd be a very good sollution too.

Do you know what the deal is with the crazy version number I'm getting at the bottom?

That's just normal. The version numbers are not the same as 1.3, 1.2 etc.

I think there are topics about this, you can try searching...
