Wow!!!!!! Finally EA has given the right weapon to the right army. When I was playing BF2 using the MEC, I was using anti-tank and was like "Guerillas don't use this crap". And now I have the formidable RPG-7. Is there a way of using this weapon in maps like Sharqi Peninsula, and other regular non-SF maps?

No only SF weapons on SF maps, wait for all those cool mods to come out.

Agree - I'd much rather use the RPG than any of the other anti-tank weapons.

The inadequacies of the original weapons have become really clear now that I've been playing AF. Fine, 3 to kill, but how about speeding them up a bit so a tank can't dodge them - can't imagine that really happens.

the rpg is beastly - the lack of guidance and the drop seems to make no difference to its lethality
its the best AT weapon by far

RPG's are fairly cheaper to get hold of for Terrorists or Insurgents/Rebels whatever you want. In countries like the Middle East since theres not a huge scale rich economy like the US etc they can only buy with the money they have.

They use AK's which are very cheap, you can pick them up in countries like South Africa for around £15 (around $26) same for the Middle East countries. Now the AT for the USMC will no doubt cost more then the RPG. So im guessing it works the same way. M16 = expensive, AK = Cheap. AT rocket = Expensive, RPG = Cheap.

Come to think about it, why do the US army not use AK's? they are powerfull, effective and don't jam. They are cheap as well. So the US Army could save alot more money and put that back into their economy etc.

regaurdless of how the government spends the money our weapon are accurate and have won many wars i can think of many examples where our spending saved many lives....like the abram tanks in the gulf war,apaches,smart bombs,night vision,....now with me no longer getting of subject.....MEC is a made up army to my knowledge and this would only be possible if all the middle eastern countries gave up there differences and made an army, but regardless of whether they have an army we are obviously concerned with that area and that is why ea/dice used it in this game....when you have an rpg in sf you are an insurgent(and whatever else they are). on warlord have you really looked closely at those guys they look like they just got out of ji had day care and picked up there ak for 15 dollars and waltzed into battle.....

Since M16s are manufactured in the US the Government does put the money back into the economy. I'd much rather have them doing this than buyiing AK from Russia or China.

Well im not from US so therefore I do not have alot of info on the government. But since im from the UK, I can tell you right here and now, that the UK government is corrupted. Our taxes are very very high, I know UK is alot smaller then US but the taxes are ridiculous. Oh and I bet you didn't know part of the taxes went into the governments wifes haircut which costs 7k a month, but the thing that gets me is that shes a lawyer and a leader of the lame human rights party, therefore shes on a very nice salary but has to dig into the people who work, to buy her personal stuff?

AK 47s and 74s are powerful, but less accurate than M16A2s. M16s do jam a lot, but thats if you dont keep them cleaned. Not having fired an AK for more than a clip, I cant really speak on how often one would experience weapon jams with it.

Colt makes plenty of money by selling their rifles to the government, and yes, it is a big issue to buy US equipment. Also, we have other weapons of equal caliber to the AK and they are also more accurate and better to use.

Don't think the capablities of the weopons in BF2 reflect those from the real world.
Because its a game and we dont want to have USA owning with 3 people versusu 30 at MEC.

A expensive AT rocket will kill any tank from far far away.
In a conflict between Russia and Tsjetenia, when the Russians moved into a town, it took 7(!) RPG-7's before a old model Russian tank was damaged.
As u have seen at Discovery, a real AT rocket, detonates above th armor, so it doenst even freakign hit the thing, and still balst the thing to freaking bits. Same for USA weapons.
If they would use realistic figures, all Western Army's in game, would be almost like stat-padding, so unbalanced would it be.

PS:MEC ingame is a serios army, not some terrorist group. Let me guess, ur around 14 year old, and come from America?
Not everything in Middle East is terrorist.
Besides Syria, Iran and former Iraq and Afghanistan, the governements are just as dirty as here.

EA should nix the 1.4 patch, and bring out a new version instead...

Can you believe that she gets paid more than the PM being in the QC alone.

I agree taxes are unbearably high over here, I wish I could kill the man that thought of VAT.
