I've searched the forums looking for my problem, but it dosn't seem as though anyone posted anything like my issue that constantly occurs in BF2.
In this particular case, the map I will be referring to is Strike at Karkand since that's the map I play the most and notice the strange issue I'm recieving.
While playing Strike at Karkand, everythings runs smoothly (for the most part), nothing unbearable or anything that really affects my gameplay, except sometimes when I look down certain parts of the map the game begins to give me about 2-5 FPS and the sound becomes lagged. Indeed, everything skips from second to second, even the cursor. Oddly enough, this dosn't happen every time I play the map, though it is most of the time. It normally happens when I look east while running down the bridge at the far end of the map, however these "lag zones" can change directions, sometimes even occuring when facing south. The second I turn away from that direction, the lag ends. However... if I go all the way down the map, so there is not much left to render, but am still looking in that direction, the game will still literally skip and everything is affected. This has caused the game to be unplayable whenever I'm in such zones. This zone can change from time to time, either from the bridge (around train accident) or to the plaza.
I have no idea what could be causing this issue, I've tried putting my settings on low, but the glitch still occurs at a seemingly random instance. All my video card drivers are updated to the newest ones, and I am currently running the game at medium settings.
My comp specs are as follows:
GPU: 6800GT
CPU: 3.2 GHZ
Ram: 1 GB
Free HD space: 50GB
Any help in this matter would be much appreciated, as the bug is causing my game to become unplayable, and extremely frustrating at times.
Thanks again.
