I don't consider myself any less qualified as a master sgt vs a first sgt, to me it just means that you got all yer badges - if you did great for you, but I'm more concerned with how you handle cqc, squad leader/member duties and teamwork. I could care less about rank or stats - quality of player and teamwork are far higher than rank imho. That's just me, taking flags and winning games matters more...
every time i see a master sgt/ master gunnery sgt i cant help not laughing...
HOW HARD IS IT TO GET A BUNCH OF BADGES??
i mean these ones you can get by the time you reach 1000 points!!
just get your requirements in now so you can get sergeant major over master gunnery. not like you don't have the time now to work on it. Congrats on the rank
but EA should really fix that, since they made the requirements for the general ranks, and nobody really had them for awhile, once they got the expert badges etc.. they got the star, so they should fix it for the lower rank
EA kinda balls up the requirements for a whole lot of people (myself included) with the various nerfings to the game play, badge requirements and ultimately the global points required for a rank. After some patch (hell knows which one) I went up several ranks in 1 round hence the Master Sgt rank.
if u really want that rank, u could try get enough tk to get demoted again and when u rise through 20k again u will get first sergeant. :)
Not fly off on too much of a tangent, but is it actually possible to get demoted if you have enough negative points from TKs etc in a round to take you back below a rank requirement? Does it do that, or do you just get promoted on the way up, and once you have the rank, you keep it until you reach the next one?
If you have negative points at the end of the round, no adjustment to your global score is made? As though you never actually played that round, you mean? Really? Surely that just screams out for smacktards to go on TK rampages then, knowing it ultimately won't hurt their precious stats...?
Thanks for the quick reply, Zef... You must be up early if you're in Chicago!

Has anyone actually been demoted?
lol, cant believe someone actually believes me! well, im not sure about the demotion, but im sure your points will decrease. i remeber there was a thread about a guy here not long ago about why his score was decreasing over time. turns out his account was hacked into and used to tk others online. i saw his stats history and confirmed that your score can actually decrease but im not sure whether demotion will actually occur though
