Possible ~15% FPS increase, worked for me:

My specs, as this certainly may not apply to every player out there:

    AMD 3200+ (32 bit)
    2 GB RAM
    AGP eVGA 7800gs
    W2k

Drivers are tweaksrus.com's NV drivers. Modded the 91.31 version, as the latest drivers out by NV (33's?) well and truly suck.

I switched from driver controlled AA (4x) and AF to ingame controlled but identical settings. I can't explain it, but using FRAPS I measured 3-4 fps increase when the FPS hover around 30 or so, and 5-8 when it gets up into the 50's. Not a huge increase, but I'll take it.

I kept vsynch on as I *cannot* abide the image tear I see. Ick! Even though without vsynch on I gain about a 25% framerate increase. With it on it doesn't drop below 30 for the most part, which is fast enough for me. And generally gets 45 to 60fps (my LCD's refresh rate).

My settings are all on High except for:
    lighting: MED.
    Dyn Shadows: LOW
    Dyn Light: MED
    1280x1024 resolution

If your rig is similar to mine and you're running AA/AF through the drivers, maybe give it a try. :drevil:

I run my settings on ALL HIGH. 1680 x 1050 resolution.

    I have a ati x1900xtx, and a AMD Opeton 170 (overclocked to 2.66 ghz)

I guess, I don't need to bother with your settings because my FPS never go below 50.

I am interested in updating the driver, but your train of thought is just rambling. Try to organize you thoughts a little and try to repost. Not trying to be mean, its just that I can barely understand what you are trying to say.

One other question, what are you using to test FPS in BF2? In CS you could use the ~ then type in a command to pull up the performance monitor and FPS on the screen. In the earlier versions you could just type "Showfps 1".

you can also press ~ (tilde) in BF2 and type renderer.drawFps 1

                to show your fps

Rambling? I think it may more likely be you're not familiar with half the stuff I wrote in my OP. I condensed a lot of info but it's straightforward. Wow what a rude comment considering you're not trying to be rude: claim my thinking is rambling and then ramble yourself about not understanding without pin-pointing what you don't understand. You want me to waste my time trying hold your hand while walking through the garden? No, sorry. Move on.

To those suggesting using the in game framerate... why would I do that when FRAPS logs and gives me more accuaracy as a result?

-sigh- Wow, did the age of posters to this board drop by 10 years in the last few hours? I really can't figure out why about 75% of the repliers even bothered to post. From the first reply on down... LOL.

Ah, you're not familiar with the phrase "well and truly XXX" as a correct syntactical form (this has nothing to do with grammar, but I can't expect you to know the difference."

Something that you wrote, like: "How old are you, I will be 30 next year," is known as a run-on sentence. And "So as far as age, its [sic- use "it's" instead] show (-n?) in (meaning "by?")..." would be an example of bad syntax and grammar all at once. Nice job!

I guess you are well and truly alone on this one. Rots of ruck to ya.

In CSS you can use "net_graph" too it displays a lot more data.

Yep net_graph 3 was the best, I couldn't remember what it was. Its been a long time since I played CS, since I purchased BF2, I haven't played CS.

Dude you are a real ****, you do know that right?? Not everyone understood WTF you are where trying to say, so in this case I ask, what do we get, a smart arse remark. You still have not answered a single question that has been posted.

If being able to have perfect grammar 100% of the time on a forum was mandated, there wouldn't be anyone on it. So hell with it, I will figure it out. If you make a post trying to help other out, don't just scorn them when they ask a question, I truly didn't understand what the hell it said. That is why I asked.

                          Jason

I was interested in what you where trying to say, but didn't understand what you where talking about. I am sorry if I upset you, but there is no reason to be a **** about it.

I'm on the OP's side of this one. I understood him fine. If you don't understand some terms ask don't attack.

It seems like you guys are trying to blame the OP for your lack of comprehension.

The following would be an example of Blacks lack of comprehension. These quotes are listed in their proper order.
