I am coming from the novalogic games, and found them to be the only ones that are really similar to BF.

But it did take me quiet some time getting used to BF2 even though I was a rather good DF player I like to think.
You did get the most obvious difference across, it is true that BF2 has no "battle lines" nor any "frontlines" which adds a lot to the whole immersion imho.
Most of the time in other games you know exactly where the enemy is going to come from - at lest direction-wise. In BF2 they are coming from EVERYWHERE
This was really tough to counter as a bloody beginner in this game.
