    AA and TV missiles

Did anyone ever notice the correlation between them? People often complain about the range of both, so maybe they are both shorter so that they have to get in closer combat. After all, its kinda unfair if a helo can be taken out from the opposite side of the map by someone who can just get their heat signature and click. Also, its unfair for someone in an AA to get taken out by a TV missile from across the map.

The TV-Missile's range is not so great (~450m) so you can't shoot it "across the map". Its range is actually smaller than your visual range.

But still, it's a bit unbalanced since you can TV AA's before they lock on you.

Right, but TV missiles also take more skill, and someone shouldn't be sitting in an AA with a chopper that far away :p Besides, I think you kind of misunderstood what I was trying to say.

The TV missiles used to have a really sick range. A good gunner and pilot could completely own a map. Then everyone started complaining and today we have the current arrangement.

TV missles make me sad when they pass straight through an opposing helo.
