    Questions from a prospective buyer

Hello! If you don't mind, a have a few questions for you good folks.

I recently downloaded the BF2 demo (I know it's late) and enjoyed it substantially. I found it so entertaining that I may just purchase the full version. However, I'm not quite sure if it's a waste of time and money to join the BF2 community so late in the game...

    Questions:

    1. Is BF2 worth buying now?
    2. Should I bother with any of the booster packs/expansions?
    3. Are there enough servers still up?
    4. In terms of patches, what should I or shouldn't I download to get the most out of BF2? (Or should I download any at all?)

    Thanks for your time! :)

      Welcome!!

To be honest i wouldnt buy it for its original retail price now, but despite the galahs that run riot and the (very occasional) cheater, its still a game that can provide so much entertainment! there are obviously some gameplay differences between the demo and today, but i reckon go for it.

Just to let you know, the game is a LOT different after the 1.2 and above patches.

oh please... we are all here playing. I had over 1000 servers available today. this game had such high system requirement that it still looks good a year later. buy it, the game still has 5 months of life left.

Yes, get the Deluxe Edition...it's a better value.

The game is still going strong so there is nothing wrong with picking it up now for the first time.

Just make sure you patch to v1.3 and spend a LOT of time playing single player first before going online..it will be very daunting at first
