I started this thread afew months ago explaining my feelings towards BF2.

Ok, I didn't play BF2 for afew months, I then came back and started a new account. I had alot of fun getting the medals again, but again I run into the same old instances i encountered before.

More people than ever are cheating, glitching, padding, camping....breaking ROE...etc etc. Everytime i play BF2 so much time is wasted trying to get into servers, disconnections, lags, crashes. I find all these examples very annoying, but these aren't the reasons why i probably won't play BF2 again. I, as a 'pubber', am finding the game quite boring. I am just tired of the game.

Clan servers i played on before are dead now. There are alot fewer BF2 servers out there and even fewer SF servers. The game is dieing, and the patches dice make are just increasing the process.

I have played BF2 for a couple of hundred hours. I don't feel this has been time wasted. There have been alot of really fun rounds. It's time for me to give up this game and online games in general because I am spending far too much infront of a screen. I need to do other things.

Ever heard of Mods? I havent played vBF2 for god knows how long, but the mods are great.

PRMM has around 70+ servers running the mod, you just install it, click "same mod" and join a server.

not to hard, and actually most mods seam to be more stable then BF2 its self. I've never been on a server thats crashed as much as vBF2 crashes.

If your going to post a reply to a genuine question then make it constructive or don't post atall.

I am relatively new to this game (two weeks now) and only go on these forums to enhance my knowledge.

dint forget Forgotten Hope 2, Pirates 2, Eve of Destruction 2, Battlegroup Frontlines, USI, and many many more mods. The mod community is as active as ever, and it will only be getting better:)

I got bored of BF2 a long time ago also. Some of the reasons were a bit opposite of yours, I think people take the game way to seriously, especially when EA decided to implement ROE. Same several maps only in rotation. Getting rewarded for every little stupid action you undertake in the game, they practically reward you just for showing up. I liked the simplicity of the previous BF games, if you grabbed flags and messed people up, you got the points you deserved and won the map.

Only game I really play online is BattleRacers, as it is just plain fun with out the seriousness involved.

Like you, I pretty much gave up online gaming because I have spent way too much time in front of the comp. Too many years of (6-7) in leagues in various games, it was all good fun though.

Earlier this year another real life friend that is also a clan member with me decided we would take up backpack camping and literally get away from all the every day things that made up our lives and get out of the house at least once a month. It's been an excellent experience so far. I hope you find something that will occupy your time and gets you some fresh air also

Summer has hit us and I've found myself drawn away from the comp way more often. So many skirts worth chasin, ya know?

I've also been on a physical wellness kick and have been spendin a hella lot of time walkin, bladin, and workin out. This helps with the skirt chasin, of cource.


This doesn't mean I've quit BF2 or that the game is dead. Simply with that nice big ball of radiation out there makin the world all nice, I've got other things ta be doing with my time.

I agree. There are a lot of cheaters, and people who ruin the game out there. I find that they are mostly on the 64 player servers. I have a lot of fun playing on the 32 and 16 player servers, something that I would never have done before, but is now the only way to stay away from the cheaters and the stat padders.
