We would like comments on no vehicles mode from people who have actually played it,

We are looking for people who are not just ranting but have informed opinion based on gameplay.

We would like constuctive feedback on the no vehicles mode, this thread will be closely watched for rant and offtopic posts..

so please give us your feedback on the no vehicle mode.....

I have played no armor or art before on a ranked server to see what its like..

I think it is interesting because alot of the time its actually true skill to play, providing you have good people on both side playing.

If you have morons then the game is like anything else. But a good game its alot of fun and alot of skill involved..

Plus you don't have to worry about a tank coming around a corner to destroy a kick *** firefight.

On certain maps it's ok (Sharqi, Karkand, city maps), but on more open maps it's certainly nice to have a jeep or two to get from flag to flag.

I'll agree, it has to be out of necessity to include at least jeeps/buggies to transport from flag to flag.

One point though, if there is no armor I think the Anti-Tank kit might be neglected. Is there a weapon to add to the kit to compensate?

I think the 'Vehicle Lite' option that has been banded around these forums would work far better, and the vast majority would prefer it to the proposed option (ie the one currently in the Beta) especially for the larger maps.

I do however think that server admins/owners (on the whole) have enough sense to realise that the main point of IO would be for the smaller infantry based maps anyway (city maps) The whole point of Zatar, Dragon Valley etc IS the vehicles and i think those that set the servers have enough sense to realise this. (well, most of them)
