I am suffering from jittering and stuttering during game play, instead of smooth play iven when pings to server are below 150 ms





Please help

People are going to need to know more than just your ping times I believe.

The jittering and stuttering is so bad that is just impossible to play, and I have a 3GHz Intel 955X HD C: 70 GB 10000 rpm with 2 Gb of memory

are you downloading anything or is there any other apps open in the background while your trying to play?

make sure everything is closed and just have BF2 open and try again.

HAve you tried with no anti-spyware, antivirus & firewall?

and your connection speed and isp, and what server you were joining. some bf2 servers jus have a high packet loss, nothing to do with your pc. or it might be a v lousy gfx card. then again, u gotta give us more info to confirm.

I speak from personal experience when I even a semi-fast broadband connection can manifest these issues.

I had 4Megabit down 384ish up, but had up to 4 other people using the same connection (for downloads, and gaming). The connection would quickly get laggy in BF2 with multiple users, such that it felt like running in the game with rubberbands attached to my player, very distracting. Enabled QoS in my router to help better shape the traffic and it helped, but the amount of raw bandwidth was just too much for my connection.

Now after upgrading to a faster connecton speed @ 8Megabit down 768 up the problem is gone completely.

My advice: hook your computer up at a friends and check to see how it performs (make sure they are doing nothing with connection like downloading), if the lag stops you know it's something dealing with your connection at home (either bandwidth or signal strength). If it continues even on a different connection you know it's something on your computer. Check for spyware/viruses, update to the latest MOBO bios, update to the latest chipset drivers, different video card drivers, check to make your HDD are running in the fastest mode, check your clock/memory settings in the BIOS. If all else fails to resolve your issues, format.

Have a nice, cool glass of water nearby, and make sure you are in a well lit enviroment. Have a cushion to sit on. That should stop your jittering and shuddering.
Please consult your doctor if the jittering continues.

Have you defragmented your HD?

My graphic card is a nvidia 6800, I have defragmented the HD, my internet speed is 9 MBit/s and the location of the server no matter is every where, before the last pacht every thing was ok

What's the rest of your spec ie RAM, MoBo, CPU etc?

Thanks people, I solve the problem, dirt and dust.

I got an old tooh brush and cleanup the fan of the processor, the one of the chipset, and the one of the graphic card, and now runs so smooth.
