I have a pretty high end system:

AMD 64 3600+
Nvidia 6800GT
2G RAM
2 WD Raptor 72G RAID 0

Setting are all high

I did a full sized fraps. I get about 90fps not recording 30 or so recording.

how the hell??

I have AMD 4000+
GeForce 7800gtx 256mb
2 gigs of ram and a very good mobo and i dont get more then 40-50

I get below 30 even 20 fps when i use fraps, is my PC full of **** or is it something else?

no offense lol but my PC is better then urs and i still get low frame rate on most servers

u do have a better HDD plus u have 2

Sorry. Your not the first to mention that. I did not intend this to be an instructional video. It was my first shot at using Fraps and Movie Maker and I thought it turned out pretty good and I liked the song so I thought I would post it. It also does show how to take a J10 out of bounds which is actually better from a team perspective as it takes the enemy jet out a lot longer than just getting them with missiles. That being said I agree it is not as sexy.

I have a few clips of me shooting down J10s. I will try to get some more in the future and maybe create a compilation. As I said this is my FIRST movie LOL.

It helps maps load faster but I do not think it effects FPS much. I think that is more of a network thing.

I think its the new patches

I used to get high frame rates but after 1.3 my game started lagging

If you had a dual core, I'd say you need the hotfix, but the 4000+ is not. Your hard drive will not affect your FPS.

I have X2 3800+, 7800GT, 1GB RAM, and run 80 - 100 FPS, 40 - 60 running Fraps.
