Do i gotta download all of the versions or can i just download the v1.3 or v1.4

Download the full 1.4 patch. I think it is about 520MB in size.

Don't patch to 1.4 though, it's beta. If you want to play the game patch to 1.3 even with all its bugs you'll find many more servers to play on.

You can't "roll back" to 1.3 either

Uh sorry my mistake. Yes 1.4 is beta or course.
1.3 will completely suffice if you want to play on ranked servers.

Don't patch to 1.4 though, it's beta. If you want to play the game patch to 1.3 even with all its bugs you'll find many more servers to play on.

You don't need to roll back, as you can make a copy of your 1.3 BF2 folder before installing the 1.4 patch. Then you can link two shortcuts from the desktop to each BF2.exe's

BF2
BF2 Special Forces expansion (if you have it)
1.3 full patch

The 1.4 Beta was released by EA to the community to test it for bugs, when the final version is released there will be an announcement, till then just stick with 1.3
