Only the default (TGN Light) theme for now. Dark them is also coming back soon. Then CSN. Then Wrestlin' Nation. A lot of WIP stuff right now. There are a couple of things still not working either. Sorry.
to be honest i dont know theres no specifics i believe its a stupid rule brought in by 1 or two fools who are admins not mentioning names though who dont like getting killed 5 secs after takeoff
You miss the point. You are NOT allowed to make arbitrary rules in your ranked server. The rule is NOT enforceable in compliance with ROE. You shouldn;t need a poll to remove something that is in violation of the rules themselves.
Those who say "play somewhere else if you don't like our unique set of rules" are saying that it's good for the community to force players to navigate through a maze of servers with conflicting and inconsistent local laws and customs, little random rules of the week enforced by somebody who is picking and choosing which portions of the BFROE shall apply to his server and which really do not. Fantastic. Makes so much sense to me. Shall I go to your clan's website and read through the 14 pages of your unique set of rules before I join the server?................
Well put, this quote and what follows in Bunny's post.
The ole "play where you like" is starting to sound more like conceding the game is just hopelessly lost forever. I'm an advocate of this advice when it comes to people not playing by a server's set of rules purposefully in protest of them, and to **** off people.
But I begin to draw the line on this being a civil compromise when the rules start to become so varied, and so inconsistant that there's not a damn server you can find that has consistant game play.
I think Bunny has hit on something other then his (and mine) dislike of adminstered rules. It's the fact that EA essentially let the cat out of the bag when they added administrative control to the BFROE that was far far too vague.
I wouldn't doubt we'd have half the problems if it wasn't possible to run a ranked server in the manner the BFROE so ambiguously outlines.
It's not that EA would even have to inforce their ROE more vigorously. It's the fact that once a "gray" area is created, there is a certain segment of people that will push it to it's limits. No gray area, no bending, and certainly less "pushing it to the limits". That means less inforcment needed, and a much less chance of outragous things like "no hang gliding".
I also wouldn't doubt a lot of these E-gods wouldn't rent servers if they thought the rules were fairly ridgid. Rules are supposed to be a deterant to certain actions, not a conceding to the will of those who don't want to abide by rules and want make up their own.
Suppose the speed limit was 55mph.........unless.......blah blah blah. There's a certain ammount of people as soon as they hear "unless", will find a way to bend, interpet, and justify, any speed over 55mph as "blah blah blah".
Yup, just got kicked now from their server for "Being disrespectful."
AcB Squeez or something similar told the PLA attack helos to stay away from the carrier...even though they were hovering over land on Dalian... more specifically he told one particular pilot. He gave him LESS than 3 secs and he was kicked. Now tell me how are you able to remove yourself from the airspace within 3 secs in a helo?
So I see he gets kicked and I said, "Dude, you only gave him like 3 secs."
AcB Squeez replies, "I'll give you less. Mind your f*cking business."
Finding this humorous I reply, "No wonder your clan is all over the forums."
And I get kicked immediately for "Being disrepectful." lol
Just thought it was funny. If you feel like padding your stats, go to their pathetic server and own their clan. Just lettin ya know...
Thank...you.
AcB Squeez has been added to the grief list. If and when they fix this piece of crap 1.3, I'll be sure to give Mr. Squeez a few teamkills on your behalf. I'll snipe him with love.
Having planes slow down to the point of ridiculousness is supposed to be an advantage? What a stupid rule this 'hang gliding' nonsense is. Last week I took out a hovering F-35 on gulf of oman no problem, quite satisfying actually given the rapage the pilot obviously intended to reap.
Agreed, hovering or slow moving F-35's are missile bait. They are just screaming "shoot me down"
Practice. Flying at slow speeds isn't difficult really. Kinda like being in a helo. Just can't make sudden movements. Gotta learn to glide.
If you need to slow down to take out a chopper, you need to practice taking down choppers. I can take out a chopper in a full afterburner pass. None of this slowing down ****. But if you are doing it to me, and I am the one in the chopper, then I am just gonna make a hard turn, strafe to your side and line my gunner up for a tv.
Bunny hopping is not a realistic thing to do in a gun fight... and so the rules against it make sense (you could not continue to jump and avoid a hail of bullets at the same time).
Cartillery is not a realistic thing to do in a war... and so the rules make sense (you couldn't hope to drop a car from how many hundreds of meters and have it land EXACTLY on a radar installation or a sniper)
Flying 10mph or hovering in a harrier jet is completely possible in a real life situation... might not be the wisest thing to do (might be completely the opposite of wisest) but it's possible... I suspect they just wanted you to stop killing them and needed an excuse...
I have no idea why admins would implement a rule for this when a hovering jet could be taken out easily with a couple SRAWs.

Umm, I can take down choppers just fine, thanks. This was one particular situation in which I slowed down. I'm happy for you that you can take down choppers at full AB pass.... I can too.
Go ahead and line your gunner up for a TV... if he connects, I die and respawn right back in the jet to take you down again.
So go take your ruler and measure your 'e-p*ni$' somewhere else. I'm not bragging about anything here, nor should you.

They are bait for anything - jeeps, boats, AT soldiers, Mounted ground defense - short, they are meat.
I cannot understand why a decent gaming clan would consider those even the slightest threat, and consider it a bannable offense... But that's just my opinion.
