oh yea i got mixed up and thought that the mp5 was the 1st unlock. srry.i dont really like the p-90 in battlefeild. i stick with the doa 12. it makes me feel powerful.

MP5 is a great gun in other games, EA just nerfed it in for Battlefield 2. I have shot an Mp5 in real life, and no wonder the police and military use it, its a good secondary weapon.

Do you think that the mp5 is the softest gun out? I mean it uses 9mm bullets fires the whole round off in to get a kill. Looking at Total Battlefield weapons it says Damage: Low and Accuracy: Low/Medium what is the point of such a rubbish gun. Can't blame people using the anti tank weapon to kill people online and is about the most effective way to get kills. I hope that someone can offer me some help and advice on using this type of weapon.

the MP5 is better than any of the other AT SMG's, in my opinion. It seems a bit more accurate then the Bizon (It almost seems as accuracte as the G3) and the Chinese SMG (The one that looks like something out of the 1940's) is a joke (no semi-auto- wtf?). And the P90 is terrebly inaccurate even on semi-auto.

Alright, if you look at the weapons chart that everyone uses they all have the same damage, accuracy, and rate of fire. There are only minor differences that make your choice just depend on your preference.

1. Chinese SMG: The Type 85, has a 30 bullet clip, 4 clips, a reload time of 3.4 seconds, it takes 1.1 seconds to switch to it, and has no semi-auto mode.
2. American SMG: The MP5, has a 30 bullet clip, 4 clips, a reload time of 4.3 seconds, it takes 0.6 seconds to switch to it, and does have a semi-auto mode.
3. MEC SMG: The PP-19 (or bizon), has a 45 bullet clip, 2 clips, a reload time of 4 seconds, it takes 1 second to switch to it, and does have a semi-auto mode.
4. Unlock SMG: The P90, has a 50 bullet clip, 2 clips, a reload time of 5 seconds, it takes 1.2 seconds to switch to it, has a semi-auto mode, and has a laser sight, whereas all the others have iron sights.

PS: The site shows a slower rate of fire for the P90, but I'm 99.99% positive that its actually 900 due to some other charts I've seen and first hand experience with the weapon.

its not the worst. The chinese anti tank is. Becuase there is no semi auto. One pistol shot does more damage then one MP5 round. However in combat you cant count on it becuase obvisly the mp5 fires alot faster then the pistol. Short range like karkland DAO long or medium range p90

Rate of fire was changed in patch 1.22 from 600 to 900 rpm. So it is the same as the MP5 and other SMG's.

Well even if it dosent have semi auto, bursting it is still effective.. Plus, you dont have to worry about having it on single shot during close quarters

Still. . . look at it. It's a stick with a grip and a mag. . . the Pp-19 bizon is actually pretty good if you know how to use it right.

Mp5's a good gun, just aim for the face and you will get kill's, I use it on map's like Wake because of the extra range over the Dao 12, and that I have'nt unlocked the p-90 yet.

all AT guns are nerfted in bf2. the bizon can actually shoot a much larger caliber round than it does, and is actually one of the most accurate smg's out there. the mp5 is known as the "room-broom" cause it fires so fast and accurate it can clear a whole room. idk much about the chinese gun. but i guess they all have to be nerfed to balance the game and not make a AT-missle, supergun toting class, like the m60/LAW combo that was in BFV...
