1.4 knife?

haha...if they do that, it would be retarded. Just like when they nerfed the MP7....what was that?! No one complained or anything about that gun and they made it sucky...and to make up for making it suck they gave you 20 extra rounds...ya 20 extra rounds to spray hopelessly at your enemy while they come and knife you since it sucks. Sorry...I just liked the original mp7 better and it was a good example for how sometimes they nerf things no one even complained about

Only infantry only mode
As the same with explosives...these issues need to be addressed for infantry only to work.
C4, Claymores, Knifes still need to be one shot.
BUTTTTTT!!!
I suspect if Claymores are allowed to be 1 shots..we will see more jihad snipers then in basic BF2.

I guess that "someone" actually was firemans.

Ever since 1.22 I've noticed the knife was a bit off. I'd swing, hear the ripping sound, see the confirmation "puff of dust" and then nothing. Oh well, I've never really beena great knifer anyway. I just use it when there is a swarm of medics on the ground. I dive and start swinging away.

You have to keep in mind that 1.4 is in beta testing stage, which means they are gonna take all the feedback from the testers and adjust the changes accordingly. I'm 100% sure that knife will kill in one shot after everything is said and done.

Stop getting alarmed about something still in beta :s

i played a single player game but im not sure whether it was inf only or not and the knife was doing about 75% damage

I remember seeing this pretty much from the release of BF2, although I thought it was better since 1.22, maybe not.

actually its all already bs. in real life, u cant possibly take 10 bullets then die, but in bf2, you can. in real life u can take a stab to non fatal places, but in bf2, knifing the feet is instant death. im not sure bout the 50% damage but i sure hope it remains as a game and still deals 100% damage.
