Pilots - "Enemy Tank Spotted"

When I am flying and I hear "enemy tank spotted", it does not show up on my mini map or regular map ( "M" key ) about 90% of the time. Now and then it does but usually whatever is spotted by my team doesn't show up.

I tend to fly higher than most other pilots and I am usually flying in bomb mode. Am I doing something that causes the units spotted not to show?

You are not close enough, for example, if you are at the airfield, commander spots a guy on the carrier, you cant see him on the mm

No but see, that is NOT how it is supposed to be.

This is a bug/glitch from since 1.2, and it's extremely annoying. I just made another thread about it.

Yeah, i think they shoud fix this, it seems like the commander can see all or 90% of the "spotted"

No but see, that is NOT how it is supposed to be.

This is a bug/glitch from since 1.2, and it's extremely annoying. I just made another thread about it.

I wonder if they nerfed it to be like that. There are a lot of unbombed targets now that would have been bombed before. I try to see who spotted it, because their dot will flash yellow, and swoop down and check that teammates area for targets.

seems like that kinda defeats the whole purpose of air support (as it should be used in BF2)

It's worse when your gunner yells "Hostile Chopper Identified" and you don't know where the heck it is. Eventually, you will hear "boooom": That's the TV-Missile

This is one of the most annoying things about BF2 right now (for a pilot anyways). They need to patch this asap/

we all notice this as well
an irregular glitch
we try to have voice comms with commander all the time
and we just ask for a respot or a 'tell me where he is'

that why i always spot a few times to make sure my spotting was registered.

This is one of the most annoying things about BF2 right now (for a pilot anyways). They need to patch this asap/

I thought the most annoying thing for a pilot was the J10.
