Patching Problems, please help.

Just bought BF2 Deluxe Edition. Installed, then installed patch 1.3. Patch installer reported that everything was running fine and install was successfull. The game runs fine and I can connect to servers no problem. In the lower left corner it says 1.1.2878-710.0. Does this mean which version of the game/patch is currently running?

How do I know whether or not BF2 v1.3 is running and not the earlier version straight from a clean install? Do the above numbers mean that the new patch did not install correctly or am I missing something.

The numbers don't match. If you installed 1.3 and it gave you the go message, you are good to go. You'll know because you will be able to see a ton of servers and log into the BF2 Vanilla ones and the BF2 SF ones with no problemo.

If you want to play on the AF or EU servers, you'll need to purchase those two booster packs for about $10 US each. They are avaliable via the EA Downloader only.

Version 1.3 = build 1.1.2878-710.0

The patch is version 1.3.

The build is 1.1.2878-710.0 (which is shown at the game consoles).

So you are up-to-date.
