Battlefield 2 Weird Problem

This is not any ordinary crash problem i can only open bf2 once a startup so if i just turn on my comp and open bf2 it works fine but if i exit bf2 and wanna play again it gives me that send error report crash thing if i wanna exit bf2 and play again i gotta restart every time

Specs: Intel Pentinum D 820 Dual Core 2.80 Ghz 2x1mb L2 Cache
1 gig of ram
nvidia geforce 7800 gtx oc at 480 mhz core clock 1268mhz memory clock
Windows Xp Media Center Edition 2005
160 gig hd
350 watt power supply

Can you give us a rundown of your startup software? the little icons in the lower right hand side next to the clock that appear after boot up?

i have mcafee sercurity center, nvtemplogger, dell support, nvidia settings, DAEMON, Sound Blaster Volume panel, aim and steam but i close aim and steam b4 playing bf2

check your tasks under Ctl-alt-del and see that both steam and AIM are definitely off. I'd probably kill all of them though once as a test and see if it makes a difference.

looks like u need to update ur PSU :) ...oh yeah! with ur specs, u definitely need a PSU upgrade 450W min...thats prob why it crashes cause ur computers too hot and it cant handle any more

ur graphics card prob 350W would be good but ur CPU, HDD and Ram together would need at least 420W...i have something similar to urs and 350W was absolutely insufficient :p

I think he is correct here. Depending on exactly which bfg card you have, the minimum is for a 400w psu.

Then, as too_much_battlefield2 states, taking into account your other hardware, you need more than the minimum stated.

no i dont i exactly measured it my comp doesnt get hot at all i got good fans with my OEM 7800 gtx over clocked max load stays at 54 c hdd is at 30c and i know that aint the problem cuz my comp dont crash like that it not even like a crash it just wont open after second try on the same startup it aint from the psu maybe bf2 is corrrupt or i gotta re install?

ok i just reinstalled and bought brand new 500 watt power supply same problem see i told u guys
