    Eveything is great until..

..until I click on disconnect or quit game in the menu. I get the BSOD (blue screen of death) and the windows restarts. I've had this problem before along with a similar crash when Ive tried put my computer in the hibernate mode. I've called alienware support and they've told me to reinstall windows, so I did. Eveything was great and working flawlessly until recently, however, the hibernate mode works just fine. I wonder what the problem is and I beg you guys for help. My game stats are not being recorded because of this issue. Please let me know about any more information that I could provide you to fix this. Thank you!

    PC specs:
    Alienware Aurora 7500
    Athlon 64 x2 4800+
    Dual 512MB Geforce 7800GTX SLI
    Sound Blaster® X-Fi® Xtreme Music 7.1 Audio
    2GB RAM
    WinXP Pro SP2

    What does the bluescreen say?

Have you tried new video drivers?

I'm not sure what the BSOD says because it appears only for less than a second. It might be the driver but I'm not sure which driver would be the proper one. I've already dl'ed a driver off nvidia website but its not working.

hmm wonder if disabling the 'Auto Restart' feature (XP restarts when it finds a fault thinking it will solve the problem most of the time it doesnt) would give you long enough to write down what the BSOD actually says,

Right Click My Computer > Properties > Advanced Tab > Startup & Recovery (click) Settings > Untick Automatically Restart box,, clicking ok on both windows, cant remeber if you need to restart for it to take effect but see if it helps

^I'll do that next time. However, every time this happens and after I send the error report to microsoft, this is what I get:

          Information about this error

You received this message because a device driver installed on your computer caused the Windows operating system to stop unexpectedly. This type of error is referred to as a "stop error." A stop error requires you to restart your computer.

                Power Supply Unit,

where you plug your power cable into the PC, it will tell you the wattage on the unit, ie 400w or something

hmm i wonder if its the X-Fi bug there was a problem with the drivers, people had to use a previous driver,

Oh, my bad. Power Supply: Alienware® 650 Watt ATX 2.0

Ok, so here is what I did:
                  - since the Samson drivers were mentioned on the BSOD, I've unplugged the Samson microphone
                  - I've uninstalled both graphic cards's drivers and restarted the pc. Then I've installed the newest drivers from nvidia website (forceware 91.31) following another restart.
Now everything works well but I dont know wheather the graphic driver or the mic driver was the problem lol What do you guys think?

Dude if it says SAMSONLLDriver.sys leave it out untill SAMSON releases an update for it

You should be ok to reinstall ur graphics
