Vehicles Only Mode!

Since DICE decided to make an Infantry Only mode, what about a vehicles only mode? I imagine it like this: You can choose only one kit and it has no handheld weapons except a wrench. There would be many extra vehicles on the map. Think about it: 64 players with 16 on 16 tank warfare, and in the air 16 on 16 jet/helicopter dogfights. :laugh:

This would be freaking awesome IMO. I wouldn't play it for long before going back to normal mode, because there will be exploiters and such. It would be fun to play.

they could make a map ala aberdeen in 1942 where pretty much everyone got a tank

it wouldnt work unless you cant repair nearby vehicles while engi in a vehicle, it would be one row of tanks firing on another and getting nearly insta repaired, helo battles would be cool and pilot would finally rack up kills ONLY dogfighting though.

I misspoke when I said no infantry mode instead of no vehicles mode in another thread, no surprise someone finally came up with this idea, hehe. Maybe perhaps it would be a good addition, and no I don't think AF is what he is talking about, but perhaps a mode where you spawn and you're given a different type of vehicle (armor, aircraft, both on seperate maps) and everyone spawns as a crew member (engineer I guess). AF on the other hand doesn't limit you to a vehicle and class. Not sure if EA/DICE will decide to implement anything else further from the final v1.4 patch.

Vehicles only mode would be quite nice actually. But it would resort people to whine more about vehicles.

Im pro Infantry only, and this is a damn good idea. You dont see me crying that all the IO servers would dissapear, or all the plane whores would get rediculous scores do you (as all the anti IO brigade are at the moment)

I ask you said people (anti IO brigade) would you still be whining if this mode (Vehicle only) was available to you?

i was thinking of that too. but u can choose whether to spawn as a tank or plane or chopper or car, etc... like choosing kits... :)

Why would you spawn as a tank though when you know with almost 90% certainty that the vast majority of everyone else is going to take a plane? You wouldnt stand a chance. Tho, mobile AA could be worth a punt in that case.

TBH even though it has been broached as a counter balance to IO mode, it would be a waste of time. The people who appreciate vehicle combat in BF2 would gain nothing from vehicle only mode
I hate to be a spoilsport but I'd rather have IO mode appease the community rather than have DICE implement a vehicle only mode which no one would realistically play anyway.

One all air map - carrier v carrier in the Pacific ocean -would be beyond awesome but without the models for destroyers and cruisers to replace APCs and tanks there isn't much chance of it happening
