Game is a total joke since the last patch..
Crashes every 3rd game now. Rarely crashed before the patch.
Have 4 PCs here.. All AMD 64/3000+ with 2GB ram or higher,
2 nvidia 6800gt/256 and 2 with ati x800xl/256. Tried all of them,
crashes are a 'normal' occurance with BF2 now.
Of course, I know Im just griping to noone, since neither EA or
DICE gives a hoot. Issuing patches without even beta testing
them, thats such a pathetic way of doing business.
personally, I think bf2 is one huge beta test for future 'battlefield'
series games, with their new engine. We're all paying beta testers.
Its bad enough that it takes 90 seconds to login to the account
server, then another 60 seconds to filter through the useless
information the server browser gives you, then even on one of
my dual core 4200 amds it still takes another 60 seconds to load
a map, then youre rewarded with a crash 1 out of 3 attempts.
Face it, the battlefield 2 engine, whatever it is, is total junk. It
doesnt need an overall, it needs to be scrapped, a new programming
company hired and start all over. This game would have been the
best fps ever made if only another REAL company had written the
code. If you wanna see a REAL company, look at EPIC's teams, they
know how to make a good product, and even better, how to support
it when its released. EA's support is a JOKE.
