    right-click problem

while playing several games (bf2 and Rome Total War), but not all games, my mouse's right click does not function properly. the problem is, when i right click the pointer or crosshair jumps to the bottom right corner of the screen, causing the camera to spin. very annoying

this does not happen while navigating windows or any other time, just when playing certain games. i tried reinstalling the games several times. it doesn't happen when playing hl2 either.

i've tried reinstalling the keyboard and mouse and updating their driver. i also tried a different mouse with the same result incase you were thinking the mouse itself is broken. i contacted the manufacturer of my mouse and they told me to contact the manufacturer of the game. i'm pretty sure it's not the game though.

i also updated my video card driver

Yes, check the port isnt full of dust, I think that is the most likely cause.

Do you by any chance have a joystick as it could be interfering, it gave me the same kind of problems. If so, disable it in the control menu.

unfortunately i don't have a joystick and it's not a port problem. i tries several usb ports (i have 6) and the old school mouse connector. plus the computer is only a month old so dust isn't a likely culprit

i'll start over tomorrow and retry everything except reinstalling bf2
