cd key is invalid?

right, i used to be a big bf2 fan but a few months ago i stopped playing.
i started again today but everytime i try to connect to an online game i get the message, "cd key is invalid" appears.

does anyone know why this is happening and how to prevent it?
i want to play again!

oh, ive also noticed there are a lot less servers than there was when i used to play, is this normal? (there were only about 15)

As to how many servers there are? Lots. When I renew my list, it's in the 1200 range before I hit stop.

uuugh this is gonna take a while lol....

oh, does each patch overwrite the other, or do i need all the ones leading up to 1.3 also?

the 1.3 update should be the last thing you install.

right, ive just downloaded the first patch (1.2 i think) but when i go to install it i get "patching failed" followed by installation complete lol.

any ideas?

Yes,

Stop using all the patches and just use the 1.3 full patch. Don't download it from the EA downloader. Find it elsewhere. The full patch replaces all prior patches.
