Problem reinstalling bf2

When i tried to reinstall bf2, because i messed up trying to backup my 1.3 folder, it installed back to patch 1.4.

I removed the EA games program files folder and have the 1.4 folder on my desktop. So why did the game reinstall to 1.4? There is no way to remove the patch so how would i have known?

Please help, this is so frustrating!

Try removing all traces of the 1.4 installation from your desktop. Keep the exe. Then install BF2 again and put the full 1.3 patch on. Should work.
