loading movies

Is there a way to bypass the movies, e.g. ea games, and dice video when you click start bf2 ? it annoying having to wait 2mins for it always.

Yeah there is, and since I wiped my HD and reinstalled... I can't remember which ones.

I deleted the long movie after the DICE screen, but the EA and dice screens are still there.


They are in C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\mods\bf2\Movies

Ok I just remembered.

delete or rename everything except menu.bik and menu_loggedin.bik

then just rename the movies folder to something like Movies1

Yeah you'll be amazed at how much faster BF2 loads up.

It's just black for a sec. and then "welcome to duty soldier"

Delete the Welcome.bik and it wont even say welcome to duty etc.

We know that.
We just dont want to see all the Legal sh*t and just want to log in to BF2.

I deleted the movies a while ago BF2 runs much more smoothly and ESC only Skips the Cinematic Movie not the legal stuff.

The easiest way of doing it is to just add the +restart 1 switch to your BF2 shortcut icon. Just right-click on the icon, select Properties from the menu, and where it reads:

Target: "C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\BF2.exe" etc., add +restart 1, so that it reads:

Target: "C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\BF2.exe" +restart 1

This will skip everything (intro. movies, EA and DICE logos, etc.) when you double-click on the shortcut icon and take you straight to the log-in window (you can even bypass the login stage with additional switches).
