One of my best moments was back when I cared about stats, I was going for my expert knife. I tried and tried many times with no success, then I pretty much gave up. A few days later, I'm playing Karkand and I just start knifing people, and I say "Hey might as well go for it". The best moment was my last 6 kills. I was approaching Hotel from Square, I see one guy on the left, knifed. Another guy on the right was shoot at me, knifed him. Then I head up the stairs twords the flag. One guy at the top of the stairs, knifed. The other 3 guys were on the flag shooting at me. Now, out of some strange bunny-hopping, dolphin-diving frenzy, and with a lot of luck, I get all 3 with my knife. I knifed the last guy and got my award.

That was a good moment.

While Playing Leviathan on Special Forces, I was alone on a flagpoint as a Sniper.
In the distance, I hear the distinct rumbling of deisel engine approaching. Since I can't see it on the radar, I know it's an enemy vehicle, so I quickly message for help. As I see the APC roll up, I realize that I'm going to be on my own.
Regardless, as a sniper, I know I'm no use defending the flag unless the driver gets out... and why would he?
I perch on top of a warehous as the APC strides confidently in. He manages to set off both of my claymores in doing so.
I figure it's only a matter of time before he takes the flag, and his buddies spawn in, discover me, and shoot me dead.
I start lobbing my grenades in the small space between a cargo container and the enemy APC, ensuring that they bounce right underneath the vehicle.
One after another they go off. His turret swivels frantically looking to obliterate the source of the annoyance.
After the 3rd grenade, I notice smoke coming from the APC, and I jam on the fire button faster.
And as the last 2 greandes go off, the APC miraculously explodes into a ball of flaming shrapnel.

It would seem that both claymores and every grenade I in my kit was enough to take out an APC and save the flag.
Who would have thought?

No awesome moments recently, but did have a minor smug moment yesterday. I spawned as a MEC Medic into a Karkard map which had already started. A USMC squad was on the roof of the rear base causing chaos. I climbed up the chimney stack ladder at the back of the roof, way up high above them and killed all five from relatively long range with my rifle without them even knowing I was there. :) Nothing majorly special, but nonetheless I had a cheesy grin on my face as I parachuted back down. I was tempted to taunt on text, but decided I'd hurt their feelings enough already.

#1: Was USMC on Karkand, I was on a small building as Spec Ops, a tank drove past, so I jumped on it, planted the C4 while riding it, jumped off it and *BOOM*

problem was i'd dropped C4 near myself and my squad :P

#2: Was USMC on Wake, a enemy helicopter landed and the ppl jumped out to Cap a flag, i ran in from the bushes behind them, and stole their helicopter - I crashed though...can't fly transport heli's :P

he must've been damaged to begin with since grenades only take 1-2 bars of health to my knowledge.

Some other good things, not specific to any particular moment:

1.) Getting in a vehicle an enemy engie is repairing.
2.) Getting the last hit on a flaming transport heli with a pistol/rifle.
3.) The drumroll as you get promoted ( just got that, and am now Cpt. tjmhay! )

Just happened to me yesterday, too cool to pass up this thread. :p

I was sneaking around the Airfield CP on Wake Island, going from Beach to the runway. I saw an enemy running towards the jet - took a few shots at him, failed miserably, but he never noticed me. As he fired up the engines, I tossed two C4 packs on the tail of the jet. He started moving forward, ready for takeoff. Just then, another enemy jet was coming in the opposite direction to reload. Without realizing it, I detonated my C4 just as the other jet was right over the one taking off. It was one of the most satisfying moments I have ever experienced in BF2 - the jet on the ground exploded while the airborne one burst into flame and blew up seconds later. A measly two C4 kills, but simply amazing to watch.

One of my favourite times was at mastuur city, my squad and I were defending the temple and we had an arrangement of all of the kits and we were just blasting the hell out the mec tanks and infantry :ar15: that charged us! I had a blast!

what about:
1. shooting a pilot out of a chopper whilst he hovering
2. cartillery on the F-35B on wake and then hearing the entire USMC team laugh and say "nice one commander"
3. getting headshots with a sniper rifle, gives you a nice warm fuzzy feeling doesnt it?

A couple weeks ago I was Wake Island. I was Chinese side and it was pretty much the end of the match since we blocked any attempt of the USMC to grab a flag. I take my tank and drive out the closest I can to the carrier and just randomly fire of tank shells at it. All of a sudden one of them hit a Blackhawk and I got like 6 kills and a bunch of people were like, "OMFG where did that come from". It was great.
