    sorry to post here but its quite urgent and this can be delted after a few responses. however,

    does this setup seem fair to run Bf2 smoothly atleast on LOW settings?


    2.80GHz, 800MHz fsb, 2x1MB cache
    Genuine Windows® XP Home Edition


    Microsoft® Windows® XP Professional
    Operating System: Genuine Windows® XP Home Edition
    Memory: 1G Memory, 2 X 512mb (400, 512
    Hard Disk Drive: 250GB 7200rpm SATA Hard Drive
    Video: ATI Radeon X300 SE 128MB HyperMemory
    Modem: Dell 56k Data/Fax/Voice Modem
    DVD Drive: 16 X DVD +/- RW

    Your requirments seem fine. The ATi Radeon PCI-E X300 is at the minimum but it will still work. What type of connection do u have?

      If you are thinking of playing BF2 via dialup.... no.


      If you just said the modem but will actually be doing this via DSL or Cable, yes.

        Thanks alot guys, ive got like 8mb broadband so it will be ok ill see you lot some time next week then. get EF AND AF start a new account maybe and get on some decent servers with decent people

          It should run it but be aware that HyperMemory means that your vidcard will use some of the system memory.

            My friend has the exact same setup and his works fine on almost full medium settings.

            What I don't understand is why you have XP Pro and genuine XP Home :P
