do i need 1.3 patch to play sf, or do i need to start it with a new account, cause i already have 5000points on bf2, and dont want to loose it. i uninstalled 1.3patch then installed sf and now no servers on sf but when i had 1.3patch on then installed sf it wouldnt let me play sf at all.

if SF is currently installed, find and install the complete 1.3 update (don't use incrementals). Once the update is complete, it will have updated BF2, BF2SF and also EU and AF if you have them.
Once updated, click on your green BF2SF startup icon and while in there, you will see both BF2 vanilla, EU, AF and SF servers. If you select a non SF server (you'll know by the maps being played) you will automatically be routed back to the regular BF2 game.
The points you have in vanilla BF2 carry across to all other games and visa versa.

hmmm, done all that, still nothing, it doesnt even try to find a list or anything, just instantly says no servers, unless i unlclick all the internet filters, then all the servers come up, but all are red and wont let me in atallComment

It sounds like you are not running 1.3 update. Find a new version of it online and download it again and reinstall. Full update only. Avoide using the EA downloader for this if possible.
