I too miss the BH guns of the original install!! That thing would pwn an entire map. Mashtuur City was the best, load it up with a squad, and go take all the flags and kill everyone while doing it. Man, those were the good old days!!

Blackhawk Down is a great movie and book, I have the game as well, and the movie/book shows how special forces soldiers risked their lives in Somalia on October 3rd.
I was thinking of making a Bf2 movie or mod of Blackhawk Down, had this idea in mind for a while.

Err yeah it's great, if your on the US side and having a nice little Blackhawk party...not so nice if you are on the MEC side and getting raped to the max.
The devs ethier had to give the MEC heli the same mini guns, or reduce the BH mini gun power in order to stop it from completley ruining the fun.
Oh and Blackhawk Down was a good fantasy movie. :P Although I didn't like the way the Somalian population was reduced down to faceless Skinnies whos only goal in life seems to be to get blown away by US invaders.
For those of you who have seen it, there is now an Extended Cut version. I bought it this past week and it has more footage but some of which does not add to the story very much. It did however made it feel for me like I was watching it for the 1st time, which was kinda neat.
you guys should also consider playing Delta Force: Black Hawk Down. too bad novalogic stopped supporting in, and now almost everyone in the game cheats
I'm so ****ed they nerfed the BH I wish they had just made the other choppers kickass 2. Now the only thing transport choppers are good for is flying 300 feet up and then everyone bails out. bloody retarded.

Or make a custom map, airfield (US main) with Blckhawks and littlebids, spec ops will be look like deltas, enemies are somalies, (AKs and RPG), humvees and techinals, i think it wont be too difficult to make a mod, im starting to get used to the mod tools

If you liked the movie, the book is a must read. Much more information on what really happened and it even gives a rather balanced accounting that includes the skinny on the Skinny's views (sorry, couldn't help the pun).
I just resently had an interesting chat with a guy from Simolia too. He had some very interesting things to say on the whole business. Most of them aren't appropriate for these boards, tho. :p
I LOVE BHD, ive seen it 15 times at least. Mark Bowden's book is awesome and same with Matt Eversmenn's book. Hehe, i met him IRL and he signed my Delta Force: Blackhawk Down game and my Mark Bowden BHD book :)
