I myself enjoy playing infantry only although only on 16 player maps versus 32 or 64.
Well now my gaming experience includes joining several servers and sifting for new rules/ content to include the level of server rules' participation and administration. In other words, I gotta go through 3 servers to find one that's sane and this includes the same servers sometimes depending on the admin or lack there of.
Then there are always stupid rules like; 'Jeeps OK for transport only' meaning don;t use the '50 cal.
Well for me it's just getting out of control because today I played on;
an admin'd infantry only server where the admin repeatedly kicked players on our team but no one on the other then kicked me for saying "this server sucks, is it infantry only or what?" because the other team had been liberally using theirs and our armor.
a spontaneous infantry only 32 server where there were no rules posted about it but several had decided to go inf. only with about 30 people playing so you can imagine the level of participation and an admin of course just kicking away.....
You can't escape the knife/ pistol & infantry only servers unless you only play 64 player maps and again the participation is moronic.
So........
I assume there are maps for 5V5 inf. only matches for TWL, etc..that don't have armor/ jeeps on them at all.
SO WTF EA/ Dice, make these non-armor 5V5 maps ranked in the next patch and then religiously clean out the rif-raff servers so the paying customers can have a good experience and buy all the rest of your BF2 stuff down the road.
I think the majority of us want to trust that EA/ Dice to some degree feels the same way.
Heck, make a ranked 16 player Karkand map mod where you only get pistol/ knives [no armor/ jeeps] with no map related ticket drain or support kits [medic revive, resupply] and let the kids have their fun their too. This would only effect knife & pistol badges & global scores so who cares what they do there.
Past that, religiously clear player stats and close servers for anything not following the ROE.
Life goes on and think of all the e-mail you won't get....
PS - also fix the hotel map glitch on karkand please.
