Startup Problem

Hello everyone... I've got a little problem and I wouldn't mind a bit of help from you experts.

The problem is that I simply can't get the game started. I click the shortcut... the screen goes black and flicks for a while between desktop and darkness then it goes back to desktop.

This problem anyway started occuring after I got me a new monitor. Benq's FP91GX that is, a 19 inch LCD monitor.

My system is as follows:
Asus A8N-E
AMD Athlon 64 3500+
nVidia GeForce 7900 GTX and the 91.31 drivers for it
1 024 Mb RAM
WinXP SP2

Did same thing to me when I bought my 19 in flat panel. Go to My docs\bf2\profiles\yourprofile(0001) and delete the video CON file. It just deletes your video settings, worked for me. Then just set them back.

tomhead is correct. BF2 is looking for your old monitor with it's old settings and crashing when it doesn't find it.

Thanks guys. Started working after I deleted the video.con file from the default folder.

Thanks I'll keep that in mind hwne I hopefully get a new 19" LCD.
