Single player lag, PLEASE HELP!!

Hi, I just downloaded the Battlefield 2 demo to check if it would run before I go out and buy the full game. I went into the options and set my graphics to medium and then loaded up a single player game. I got so much lag it's un believable. So I set the video options and audio options to the lowest possible settings and tried again. It was still lagging. So now I don't know what to do.

Is it just the demo or will it be the same in the full game (because of patches and stuff)?

200gb SATA HD
Geforce 6600GT 128mb
1280mb RAM
2.4ghz Celeron D

I thought that but I checked around, and there's a lot of people playing BF2 on Celerons slower than mine.

i had that prob before and it was the graphics card being incompatable but yours is supposed to be compatable. i think it may be the celeron?

Download The server patch and delete your cache file. Solved it for me

yeah could be, I probably just got unlucky. I'm getting a Pentium 4 HT 3+ Ghz soon, think that'll be ok?
