Handbraking in jeeps/buggies

Not sure if this has been in a previous thread, but i think it will b a gd idea. For two reasons really:

1) Gameplay - you're driving along in ur jeep and u see a AT mine on the floor, u try to press the back button or steer clear, but u fail and the 3 guys in that jeep die. If u had a hand brake u cud try nd turn quickly to avoid it. Same thing if u turned a corner to find a tank, you try nd use ur handbrake to turn the hell around. u cud use it for turning corners better aswel. Or if u wanted to take out a bunch of infantry with a sweeping drive.
2) Fun - it will be lots of fun to b able to handbrake. dont know if u ever played halo/halo 2 but driving around in that jeep is fun. bf2 cars dont have to be quite as mobile as a warthog the ability to handbrake at least wud b gd.

I think you have a valid point there.

I noticed when driving it about.. and switching the cam to different views, that it looks as though its about to skid or slide occasionally but never reallly pulls it off.

It would be fun to be able to pull some slide maneuvers once in a while. Also a hand break would be awesome when parked on a slight grade and all the vehilce wants to do is slide downward while your aimlessly trying to down a chopper or other targets with the mounted MG.. ooh so frustrating.. although I know what it is that EA needs to do to fix that issue. All they need to do is apply less pf_nogrip to the wheels so they arent sliding on the slightest hill or when firing the mounted MG.

No with all the features people want in the game the game only would be buggier and slower.. Sounds good but if all things like this are integrated it would make the game slower.. Though I'd love to do handbraking things seems fun

I'm in serious need of the handbrake; I played a lot of GTA, and I instinctively press space when I want to take a sharp turn, but it only results in the sounding of the horn, which is pretty annoying after some time.

Imagine the spectacular roadkills this could give you - sliding sideways into the poor guy while taking that drift sending his ragdoll flying across half the map :laugh:

Do you know how it looks when you spread jam on your bread with your knife?
I think that if buggies would have a handbreak the same thing would happen to ground troops that happen to get in it´s path. No more dodging/proning incoming road-killer because you´re going to be the jam, and the buggy the knife

Why would those lazy ppl from EA games make something like a "handbreak", if they already have made a, well-used and painfull bumper for BF2? :p
