I need more information about this situation.

This thread will likely be deleted.

However, as a precaution, I would like to know:

1. Has GameWizard broken from BF2. (thats fine under NDA)

2. Has GameWizard any access to personal information?

3. What is TotalBf2 doing to mitigate the threat? (if any)

4. Why is this becomming so personal? What has totalbf2 done to GameWizard (personally, I think totalbf2 is not the greatest when it comes to gaiming standards).

5. What are the motives of GamingWizard?

Answer us here, or delete the thread.

this is a forum - me regarding signing up is personal. there is no revocation (least they don't matter in this issue). I'm sure there are thing being done - as a forum member with personal e-mails attached to my account, I simply would like

if they ban you - then this is not a forum. Simple as that. There has been a comprimise and there is no denying that.

The question is - Will the BF2 staff let us know what is being done?

They've always seemed on top of things - so lets hope they do.

I should point out that the thread I was talking about came after GW started his new comunity... it wasn't the one-liner thread that spurred this, just an effect of it.

i remember that fiasco - and this seems VERY similiar. Can anyone from that time comment?

That would most likely be from the pr0n and not this whole deal with GW and MyIS

All of your concerns should be alleviated very shortly as we let the dust settle. There's no reason to fear thread deletion, being banned, etc. Post your thoughts, we encourage that.

As SpawnDemon mentioned earlier, all of your concerns will be addressed soon. TroyBob, I know you back from the DC days (you probably do not remember me), so I value your opinion then and now.

For now, all I will say is that all signs are pointing to social engineering. The system is not compromised at this time.

P.S.: GW is not a part of TotalBF2 in any shape or form.

I really don’t understand all of the posts, I mean… Something happened, it is being taken care of, and that’s is really in all honestly what people need to know. You have the admins/mods words that they are investigating it. Trust there word, the most that these people have access to could be your username, emails, and instant messenger contacts. They can change your password, but can never find out what it actually is. Other then that, no one should be yelling or blaming My Internet Services, or the moderators/admins of the forums. They are doing there job, you posting all this is just making it more and more difficult. He knew ways in and out, which I think he didn’t. Its vBulletin for gods sakes. If they locked his account down the only two ways for him to get in would be with another persons account or to hack the board. Which logs will show how that happens. Not to mention if he had a old backup, which is nothing MORE then a MySQL files, he could of just uploaded it to his vBulletin board, merged them, and sent the mass email. Which that gives him just your user information, not your current TotalBF2 account password or anything. Nor does it give him access to your PMs or anything like that either.

Live with it… Crap like this happens all the time…. My 2 cents, and thats all of it.
