Is there a way to load faster?

thought it was just my crappy video card but got a new one and still takes forever, is there some way you can?

i know a way to login faster...i know it sounds weird but delete the 'favourites' (servers) you don't use in the multiplayer tab and this will decrease your login timr dramatically. I went from 2 mins to like 10 secs..no exageration.

I get in sometimes fast on one map and then super slow on another. I guess the maps are loading from the server and not your hard drive like some other games. not sure why they would design a game like that.

I don't know how helpful this would be to you, but some people swear by it. I have not tried anything other than reducing the # of favorite servers as suggested by Jay. It seems that for me I have a lengthier load time with SF than I do with regular BF2. Maybe I am hallucinating or something. :s

which loading time are u talking bout. is it the loading of the game or loading of a map. if its loading of the game go to the movies folder and rename it to something like moviess and when u load up bf2 it will go straight to the log in screen. if its loading of a map i sugesst get more ram. i have 2gigs and my friend has 3 gigs and he is alwyas in game faster than me

If your talking about loading a map, get more ram (2GB), or if u already have that, get low timings for ram. Or, get a faster harddrive (run in RAID 0 or get some raptors).

Yeah, like he said, either more ram or a better hard drive. Your videocard won't affect load times in any way.

Biggest influence on loading times are:

1. RAM
2. HDD
3. CPU

The CPU will affect it, but any thing over a 3200+ will not see much difference.

Slow RAM, or less than 2GB will affect load times greatly, and slow HDD's (less than 7200rpm) will mean very long load times no matter what. Any 10krpm HDD will help, or if it has a good cache (16MB is good).
