New Router.....NO BF2......Help

Hello All:
First off, great site!!!

Now to my problem:

I have been playing for awhile on a Dell Truemobile wireless router...no problems. Went and bought new wireless router and cards and cannot get BF2 to run. It locks up when I click on Join server.....help.!!

the router is a Air Link Super G model #AR420W with matching Super G card. I have been bouncing around for a hour or so trying to get thru....but no luck.

I tried port forwarding, no luck....I enabled the DMZ on the router which apparently opens all ports....NOLUCK same crash....!!

Anyone have any thoughts?

you can try going to manufactures website and get a firmware update for the wireless router and then try port forwarding again.
someone mentioned the same problem as you and also recommended going to this site

I did the firmware update...and checked that website, unfortunately, the router is newer then the ones listed so there is no cheat sheet...That is a cool site, I bookmarked it promptly.

Still screwed....still trying.....still bumming....

Just to cover the bases properly...are you trying to run bf2 off the wireless connect? Or do you have a lan cable hooked from your pc into the router?

Got it fixed......like a numnut I was port forwarding to the wrong IP....Brain Fart...
