Why doesn't BF2 have a Buddy List?

You would think with such a team based game you would be able to connect to the server where your friends are by now...over a year after release.

Is this feature still on the backburner or will it be in 2142?

Use qtracker: a buddylist is available there!

Yeah xfire is good but for some computers (like mine) using xfire and BF2 at the same time causes lag, what with BF2 being a huge resource hog.

LOL!!! I thought I was going crazy the other day I was playing BF2 and I had xfire open, my comp kept stuttering and eventually got a CTD. I noticed I had not shut xfire down so I was %$!$#!...

Yea, and xfire is designed to be used during gaming to chat while gaming lol. Oh well, it works for me still.
