pointless fun

ever since they changed squad dynamics in the game, ive noticed its hard to find a squad leader who can keep himself alive......so ive made it a point to be that....a squad leader that keeps himself alive.....sure i dont net many points....sometimes even no points.....but its fun....hiding little ways away from a distant enemy control point so no one can find me, and my squad can always spawn on me.....

another thing i like to do...i did this in kubra dam ( a map i hate btw)....i grabbed a blackhawk, and just went up as far as i could....created a squad...and hovered over those distant CP's.....ppl died once or twice before taking them....but they could always spawn on me....and always got the CP after a while.....this gave me absolutely zero points....but it sure was fun......

its pointless as in i dont accumulate points....but i sure do think its fun....

anyone else enjoy pointless fun like that? perhaps different ways of being a good spawn point :p

Since the sqaud hopping changed, this is something I've tried a couple of times. Not surprised it hasn't caught on though because as you mentioned, no points. Too bad, since they changed the squad hopping, EA couldn't come up with a nonexploitable (is that a word???) way to give the squad leader some points if his squad excels.

Then it would not be "pointless" anymore.

Hiding is very boring for the majority of people. Maybe if 40% of people enjoyed hiding, and they were all squad leaders, and had decent skills to defend themselves, the squad system may have worked.

Unfortunately this didn't work and squads are a thing of the past.

whenever I go as squad leader I send my squad mates in and I fall back and provide a spawn point, I may not have the most leet score at the end of the round but my squad is usually in first place

also sometimes what I like to do is take my squad up in the BH to about 500 ft, than hover over a flag and they all bail out and attack the flag whilst I work on my hovering skills hundreds of feet upwords

there's no benefit for a squad leader to stay back and allow people to spawn off them in safety.

thats exactly what i did in kubra.....cuz i hate that map with a burning passion......when i get close to the flag, i have to zoom my minimap in...but if i drift too far away, i gotta zoom bqack out, get closer, then zoom back in.....and its hard TBH.....but i think its fun.......

now i wish i had a squadleader do that for me.....ide love to chute down to an enemy base time and time again.....im sure its fun....at least i can provide that fun for others, and get get a little fun from it.....my squad was best at the end....and i had a measly 4 points...lol

pft last time i did that for a whole round on wake, i had a squad spawn off me constantly. at the end guess what my score was.....

yeah, for them......lol

for me they would respawn 2-3 at a time, and bail together.....i think thats what made it effective....

the best part is, i just stayed.......even in the middle of four-five arty strikes, and even seen an enemy attack heli spotted.....circling around me....but nothing touched me....(except for one arty strike)




and a quick question....can an enemy UAV spot me if im flying high above it?
