Changing positions in a vechile...quick question

Hi, this is just a quick question thats been frustrating me. How do you change from driving position to gunner position if you are driving the car by yourself. I have seen this done many times that has resulted in my death lol.

Default keys are F1 for pilot/driver seat, F2 for gunner, F3-F6 passengers.
