Sir Eden supplied an apology. I respect that. The fact is that no bickering will bring forth a fix any sooner. I can see his frustration with such negativity exagerating the situation.
I am personally annoyed at the posters sig. A person with an attitude like that really should stop playing this and all dice/EA games, and turn off any servers he operates. No one can change opinions of games I form by playing them myself. I want people to come here and see that the largest BF2 forum community is a helpful place for gamers to come and learn about this game, and hopefully buy and play it. I want the community to grow, not drive folks away. Attitudes like that are selfish and borderline juvinile. I know everyone here is not as old as I am, but a little restraint goes a long way.
Everyone here knew there would be a torrent of posts like this starting July 1st until the patch is released. Flaming the game does not help, and doesn't help me recruit. The poster is lucky that the iincredibly tolerant mods here don't give a level 10 perma ban for a sig like that. This is TotalBF2, not TotallyHatingBF2.

I actually didn't realise they said they would be aiming for a July release, I was just glad they were actually working to fix the problems they created for Mod teams.

I love it. The EA message thingy at the start of the game is blank and that is usually a good sign that they are getting ready to launch something new. There has been some new map names being tested on our servers that I can not access for obvious reasons. That also is good news.. Be patient and enjoy what you have and then you may appreciate the new bits when they do eventually get them.:banana: :banana:

I am not saying that bf2 is bad. It's the best game ever! But EA and Dice had the bad habit of making new content top priority in every patch and it should be bug fixes. Bug fixes first, then new content. What good does a new map if the server and client are gonna crash and people are going to stop playing? Hope the bf2142 patchs to be bug fixes instead of the bf2 one's.
And just what makes people think the next patch will fix anything? Over the past year the game has progressively gotten worse, not better, especially when it comes to CTD's and server crashes. Most companies make their games more stable as time goes on. Here we have the opposite. I have little faith in Dice's ability and therefore will be pleasantly surprised if they turn this game around in their next patch. Time will tell.
Is july, EA and Dice make us wait one month of server crashes, crash to desktop and many other bugs. They say july is the release of the beta. Where is it? They could just make a 1.31 quick fix in less than a month instead of 1.4.

Exactly. When they had 1.01 that sucked they immediately came out with 1.02. They have done this in the pass, but not now...why?
Is it because they have a different programming house and thus a different product manager?
I'm not happy with BF2's 1.30 patch. Because of it I have refused to buy the AF expansion or 2142. I would rather try Quake Wars instead of 2142.

New maps keep us happy. I would think they should had immplemented a program where modders could make maps and they get approved by EA after some modifications.
A new map is nothing more than a oppertunity to rush out en-masse on a giant easter egg hunt looking for that one spot or problem like a hole in the wall to jump into and pwn the world until it gets fixed.

Yea they could have made it in a month but remember one thing EA=Lazy thats why theres still soo many bugs.

Buddy, his sig is Totally Appropriate. Why should we want to buy 2142, which is based on the same BF2 engine, if a) they can't get BF2 to work properly, patch after patch; b) If they are gonna make constant Gameplay changes that most gamers don't want? Take your "Breath through the nose....." and sell it somewhere else.

People like you make me want to smash my Sh!T. Yes, we've been waiting far too long for a Serverside HotFix. Alot of people are wasting alot of money(including myself) renting servers that crash at any given time ALL DAY LONG, what about that don't you get.
