Mood effect your play?

I know that when I sit down after a good day or work or just in a good mood things in the game always work out for me. I'll get the best sniper spots it seems, and just get lucky. And when I sit down and am in a bad mood I'll never get a shot off, or anything. It just seems to always work out that way however I'm feeling it's just how it goes translates into the game.

Anyone else feel like that to? Or am I just crazy which is completly fine.

If I'm in a bad mood I usually am angry and rush in and do brash things I normally wouldn't do, which makes me usually get close to last. Otherwise I play normally.

Oh yeah, major impact. Mood affects my play hugely. That, and the current level of tiredness.

My best mood for playing is when I'm cranked on caffeine, after about a half hour of getting warmed up. In a decent server without a lot of additional, custom, ever-changing, never-enforced rules, playing on a squad with people who actually can use VoIP without sounding like spoiled 12 year olds... MegaDeathDemon666: "My mom says I can stay up late! Yay!"

My worst is when it's late at night and I've been playing for 3 hours, after having CTD'd about 3 times and been punished for a TK after running somebody over who just dashed out in front of my raging speed demon of a Vodnik. Then I get to the point of "oh who cares about this monumental waste of time?" and I sign off.

But the next day rolls around, and the caffeine tide is rising, so I get back in again... this thing is too much fun, despite all the shortcomings and the sometimes annoying people.

You are so right. If I have a rough day at work I really hesitate to play. I know that my game will be crap. BUT!, if life is good that day I can usually do pretty well.

Another important thing to realize is that any game requires a certain amount of training and practice for you to really be able to excel at it. If Michael Jordan went into a game without any practice at all then of course he will get schooled. So obviously all of us couch pro's that wake up in the morning or come home late at night to get a few games of BF2 on are gonna get owned horribly. The most important thing that you have to train for in FPS games are reflexes. It's no surprise that some of the most amazing FPS pro players are demigods in reflex games like Painkiller and Quake. Good reflexes can make a huge difference in your game. If you can headshot someone that's sneaking up on you with an incredible 180 degree turn then you're doing great. Keep playing Quake 3, UT, or any other DM games to build up your reflexes.

When I get ****ed at family members I end up sucking real bad for like 30-60 minutes then I end up getting over it and playng better.

Yea your mood really effects your playing on bf2.

I had a really good time on friday night. In that night i got about 400-500 points and then the next day i was really tired and in a bad mood and i played and i got killed heaps i would always rush in , i wouldnt notice c4 spec ops guys around my tank i always missed at mines and run over them.

sure does. One day (playing with about the same quality and quanity of players) i'll score top 3 to number one easily, no matter how many rounds i play. The next day......... im lucky to get into the top 10......on my own team. Real lucky.

I'm realy bad when I'm exhausted. I crash all the time, miss and simply "unlucky". Usually I score realy high (1st place) in the first few (2-3 rounds), than I'm getting a bit worse. It is funny to play on a server thats not in your timeregion. For example you play at 21:00 but the server's GMT is more, like 23:00. So it means that you play against a buch of sleepy opponents :)

I actually started playing today royally ****ed because of how hard a roommate screwed me and my other roommate with bills and completely owned every round all round for 4 hours straight in the Air.

man, when i'm all relaxed and not worrying about points i get headshots for no reason but when i get ****ed off and rush a lot and get killed more(=getting more ****ed)

I find my mood effects my play a little bit buy the main thing that effects my gameplay is how long I have been playing. If I just get on after not playing for awhile I seem to get really good but after a few rounds I keep getting lower and lowers scores until I finally have enough and get off.

Yeah that's the same for me too pretty much, it's usually if I just go on BF2 for the sake of it, I end up doing completely crap. But if I'm actually in the mood for some BF2 and I'm in the right spirit then I usually do well

When I play drunk/tipsy, I have no inhibition and tend to try things I wouldn't dream of doing normally... more often than not, it pays off! Oh yeah, and I'm not scared of going deep in enemy territory.

Otherwise, if I'm mad, I just want everyone to stay away from me, hehe...
