    Crash at 2nd Load

OK so ive searched most of the support section pretty thourougly and i have yet
to run in to anyone with the same problem as mine.

Im able to play BF2 without a problem everyday except for a slight itsy bitsy problem...

When i start a fresh session of windows i can play battlefield just fine.
But say i want to take a break ... i close the game, only to discover that if i decide to play again an hour or two later the game wont boot up, it gives me the Generic "BF2.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close" message. the same one you see for any program that crashes within windows.
The real killer here is that if i want to play it again i have to restart my PC... and only then will i be able to play BF2 again...
It makes absolutely no sense to me... at all.

So for each session of windows i start up im given one session of Battlefield!!!

Please can anyone help me out here?

    Re: Crash at 2nd Load

When I encounter problems, I usually start looking around for something that can be causing the problem. Antivirus program not accepting BF2? Spyware? Any firewalls? Could it be a driver problem? Can I solve it using the defragmenter?

Ask yourself serveral questions and try out different things. Like reinstalling BF2. I know it sounds dumb, but it's not always a problem with the actual BF2.

well it REALLY doesnt matter ... but its so god damn annoying...

        Ive reinstalled it twice.

And it keeps happening... the only thing i can think of, are my ATI drivers, theyre always a pain in the ass, but still.... it runs fine and then it doesnt even boot up....

        the hell?
