proper way to patch??

I am going to town to buy BF2 right now, and have read of people having problems patching to the latest version. I was wondering what is the proper way I should go about patching without any headaches?

The issues have to do with the patch itself, EA is working on a new one, but I've heard if you use the full ptch as opposed to the incremental it will have less bugs. I'd stay unpatched for a while but whatever floats your boat.

I didnt do the full version and Im not having alot of problems, I crash to desktop when I try to join a server but it doesnt happen often

Download the full 1.3 patch, when you go to patch it, sit back and cross your fingers. Thats the best I can tell ya.

My patch failed to install 3 times before I finally got it to work, just be prepared for crashes, smacktards, and a ton of teamkills.

It's not patching that people are having problems with. It's the code in the patch that is causing problems.

If you live in Australia then go and buy a pizza hut pizza and get a free copy of BF2 with it.
