With this computer what settings can I play with good perforamnce (Like 40-60FPS)?

AMD Athlon 2600+
1 gigabyte kingston ram
6800Xt 256MB

Medium-high I'd say. Do you have a separate sound card or are you using onboard?

When I put in an SB Live instead of on board I got a huge FPS boost (from 15 or so to about 40-60), and less stuttering. It makes the most difference in the BF series compared to other games.

Oh that sucks, well, I'll be happy if I can just get the textures, lighting and effects on high. And maybe the AA....by the way I alreadt have the game(had it right when it came out)

I was playing with a 9800pro on medium settings. But that broke and I got a $130 refund for it so I bought this just an hour ago from newegg.com.

I would say try medium across the board. Set your resolution to 1024x768 and give it a try. Turn AA off too.

I was already able to do that with the 9800pro. I think I should get atleast med-high

Just turn the sound on low man. The sound card shouldn't matter that much...

You will probably run the game, low resolution and high settings no AA.

It uses your CPU to do all of the sound stuff.
