    A question for jet pilots...

I'm learning to fly jets <again...> I don't have a joystick <sadly...> so I usually fly with mouse and keyboard, my biggest problem is turning fast and pulling up with a mouse so today i stasted flying with keyboard only.
I know that using this technic I will never be better than joystick users but i can
pull up way better than using mouse. My question to joystick users is :

Is pulling up, turning with a keyboard <on max> the same angle as using joystick ?

Thanks in advance for any info

I guess its the same angle. But i still advice you to get a joystick. I could never keep a plane in the air without it. Now i never die because of my own fault.

Set a key on your mouse for "pull up", so you wont have to drag your mouse.

You only have a 107 kills in a Jet. I have over 3k and thats with mouse and keyboard. No it wasn't from spawn raping or stuff like that. Nothing like a good dogfight. But I don't have a joystick at all.

its the same angle, but the joysticks arent as fast as the keybord or the mouse. cuz to roll from left to right, u mouse ppl or keybord ppl just need to press right, or mouve the mouse left and the tturn will be done imidiately. for joysticks, u gota come back to the middle then push the stick right, thats when it starts to roll right.

I think the finer control of the joystick makes up for this.

mouse is 10x better than a joystick for fine control.

ive got 11k kills and nearly 3k deaths with mouse and keys, so a joystick isnt everything

Not my idea though, but its one of the best Ive seen in BF2 forums.

As for mouse being good or bad. Mouse is pretty good at evasive maneuvers. Since it gives a maximum turn pretty much on spot. However, if youre chasing, I can lose a mouse pilot always, in less than 5 maneuvers. Usually in less than 3.

And chasing a mouse using pilot. Well, he only survives if hes got a better plane and goes into a circle war.

Interesting thing about newbie mouse pilots is that they start jerking a lot, basically creating a TONS of maneuvers in a short timeframe and are a nightmare to gun down... unfortunately for them, missile lock works fine.
